Founded in 1895 by a group of eminent ex-patriots, The American Society in London is the oldest established social and cultural US organisation in the UK. The aims inaugurated at its beginning – to help promote friendship between the people of the United States of America and Great Britain and to celebrate our country’s heritage and national traditions – have remained central in its history.
