Welcome to The Association of American Clubs!
Corporate Sponsors
_________________ We'd like to extend a big thanks to all our generous Corporate Sponsors that make it all possible. The AAC _________________ The Association of American Clubs (AAC) brings together a growing number of American Clubs around the globe to provide an international network of contacts & resources that benefits Clubs on both an organizational and an individual level. AAC membership benefits each Club by providing an open forum for the exchange of ideas and organizational practices providing a wealth of institutional knowledge. Clubs continually learn from the experiences and practices of other Clubs ways in which they can expand and enhance the overall quality of their own services, identify opportunities for financial growth and highlight methods to increase their profile both locally and internationally. On the individual level, any member of a participating Club has an increasingly wide network of international connections available to him in his travels. Club Membership in the AAC effectively extends “Guest Member” status to all members of any Club in the AAC community. This enables any individual member to receive all member privileges at participating Clubs such as member discounts to activities and events and access to club facilities. All current members in good standing in the individual member clubs can attend the activities of the sister AAC Clubs at the discounted member price. Any individual member who wishes to visit one of the participating clubs must simply present a letter of introduction from his home club president attesting to his eligibility. BECOME A MEMBER

Latest NewsUses for This Space
This space can be used for News Articles such as in the article "Medicare Scam" at the bottom of the page.
This space can also be used for Advertising. This can be done by placing a company logo with the text (see the AABC logo placed above, right). The text can include links to the desired website such as this link: The American Society of Barcelona. Which, as you can see, will link you to the website of the American Society of Barcelona if you click on the highlighted area. Also, downloadable documents or images (such as fliers, etc.) can be added to this space as can be seen in the "Sample Document" at the end of this article. This function can be used for both News Articles as well as Advertising. For more information about advertising on this web-based software please read the article Other Advertising Options below.

Other Advertising Options
This web-based software also has other advertising opportunities such as:
- A long, horizontal banner located at the top left of the page directly under the menu buttons. (See the image with the text "Your Banner Here" at the top of the home page for an example). This banner also has the option of adding a link to one external website. For the purposes of this example the banner on this website has been linked to The American International Club of Rome. Click on the banner above, left to see how it works. - Another use of the long, horizontal banner is to create a "gif" image file which rotates the images of all Corporate Sponsors and then linking the banner to the AAC Corporate Sponsor page. This is the solution used by The American Society of Barcelona (ASB). To see how it has been implemented please click here. Once the ASB page has opened, click on the rotating banner at the top of the page to see how it works. - Also on the "home" page is the ability to create a Corporate Sponsors section which links to an additional page. (Please note: this additional page must be created by using html coding which can be a labor intensive, time consuming process.) For the purposes of this example the current "Corporate Sponsors" section is linked to the page designed for The American Society of Barcelona. To see how it works go to the section directly below the globe image on the upper left side of this page and click on the highlighted text "Corporate Sponsors." - Creating links to sponsors on the Links Page is an additional possibility. To see the links page select the Resources button at the top, middle of this page and then click on Links on the drop-down menu. - Creating recommendations to sponsors on the Recommendations Page is also a possible use of space for advertising. To see the recommendations page select the Resources button at the top, middle of this page and then click on Recommendations on the drop-down menu. - Creating clasified ads for sponsors on the Classifieds Page is also a possible use of space for advertising. To see the classified ads page select the Resources button at the top, middle of this page and then click on Classifieds on the drop-down menu. - Sending out Newsletters is an active way to get the message out about the AAC as well as providing exposure to Corporate Sponsors. This is a powerful tool; however, please, remember that to use this option requires the building of an online database as well as increasing significantly the need for content management. With these two hurdles jumped, the dissemination of a newsletter: increases organizational awareness and increases website traffic which is key in securing sponsorship. The newsletter allows for publishing of links in the main body of the text as well as in the Recommendations section. For a full overview of the newsletter capabilities, please download and review the attached file below.

Discussing Corporate Sponsorship
Once we have all reviewed the advertising potential on the website, the natural flow of discussion is developing a Corporate Sponsorship Package.
The American Society of Barcelona currently uses the same web-based software and has developed a Corporate Sponsorship Package to fit its specific needs. (See attached file below: ASB Corporate Sponsorship Benefits) Please take a moment to download the document and review it. It is included here to serve as a suggested starting point for developing a Corporate Sponsorship Package tailored to the needs of the AAC. Medicare Scam (News Article Example)
Medicare covers medical services only performed in the United States.
Recently, some Social Security retirees living overseas have been contacted and told that if they enroll into “Ambassador Care” that Medicare will extend its coverage overseas. This is not true. It is believed that Ambassador Care uses a United States address for billing purposes and tries to bill Medicare as if services were performed in the United States. The bottom line is that Medicare does not reimburse for services performed outside the United States. This company is using deceptive practices and has been referred to the Office of Inspector General for possible prosecution. |
