Status Report  -  work package 1 

"Strenghten the knowledge base regarding the status of pediatric and adolescent diabetes
and related care in the EU"
 
                    ♦ The report aims to improve information in the area of pediatric and adolescent diabetes in the EU.
 The report includes an overview of key findings resulting from two questionnaires distributed to leading pediatric
   diabetes centres and hospitals in all EU Member States.

The preliminary conclusions and recommendations identify first potential action points.

At this point we wish to thank the work package leaders Zdenek Sumnik and Onrej Cinek as well as Anja Strootker and Karoline Lenaers for the hard work with preparing this report.

Draft Report  -  work package 2 

"Assess existing guidelines to develop recommendations towards minimum,
equal standards of treatment and care"
 
                    ♦ The report aims to provide recommendations for Diabetes care and Treatment in Pediatric Centres of Reference
                       in the EU.
 The report includes an overview of existing guidelines from the different EU countries.

 Finally the report indicated some conclusions and recommendations for the clinical practice in children’s diabetes.

 However, further evaluations and modifications to these documented guidelines have been organised for world wide    
   implementation.

We would like to thank the work package 2 working group with Carine de Beaufort, Gun Forsander and Andriani Gerasimidou-Vazeou as well as Ragnar Hanas as invited guest representative of ISPAD for preparing this report.
