Medtronic Foundation

                                                
                     
The "Foundation Hannoversche Kinderheilanstalt" was built in 1863.
It was the first institution of medical care
for children in Hannover.

 The Foundation enables today:

♦  the medical care of annual 30.000  sick,
    sozial  benachteiligter und behinderter 
    children and adolescents
 
♦  social pediatric care of underprivileged
    and handicapped children
 
♦  rehabilitation of deaf born or suffered   
    late - onset deafness 

♦  pedagogic -therapeutic care of children

♦  advancement of professional 
    education as well as advanced training 
    of physicians, health are professionals 
    and other qualified personnel         
                                                                                                                 

        

The Medtronic Foundations focus the grantmaking

♦  on health, education and community,   
    and works closely with the nonprofit
    partners to increase their impact in
    communities around the world
 
♦  in areas where they can make unique
    and positive contributions, while  
    helping their nonprofit partners

♦ Nationally and across the globe to  
   improve the health and vitality of 
   people and communities

The objective of Foundation is:

♦  to support and advance research in
    the field of diabetes, particularly
    juvenile diabetes in the United
   Kingdom and throughout the world
 
♦  to provide material of an
    educational  and informational
    nature to persons who are 
    interested in or affected by diabetes
